Working From Home ~ Is it Worth it?
I'm sure we have all pondered at one point or another whether or not we should work from home. I mean, wouldn't it be great if you could get up when you wanted, start to work when ever you wanted and be your own boss? Of course it would! There are so many work from home opportunities out there, which one is right for me? Are they all scams? Can you really make as much money as they say? Does the product really work? So many questions and who can answer them?
I have tried many work from home businesses, such as, Willow House, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Country Home, etc. While they were not scams, I just never found the right one, for me. Party throwing was there main way to earn business, and at the time, I just didn't have enough interest out there, or enough friends, for that matter. My kids were little and I hadn't talked with my friends from school in quite sometime. Family just weren't interested because they have had parties before and they didn't want their friends to feel obligated. I always ended up with the starter package and into the company for more money than I had ever earned! I gave up. I was down and out and didn't want to waste any more money (which I didn't have to begin with).
One day, while I was on facebook, I noticed another WAH opportunity. It was selling flowers and gift baskets. I thought that this would be a great one because I knew so many people who send flowers and gift baskets, how hard could it be to get them to send them from my website. I joined, was pumped, excited and motivated and it went better than any other business I tried. I got lead upon lead and converted a few of them into customers and even recruited them to my team! I was happy and thought I finally found the one for me. I got this one lead, we will call her Nicole. She was a very nice person and was interested in starting a home based business. She talked with me a couple of times and I thought she was going to join my team. I asked her to friend me on Facebook and now just was waiting for her to go to my website and join. Well, every now and again, I would go to her page to see what she was up to. I saw that she had joined another wah business. I called her to follow up and she said that she joined this other business and she couldn't believe how well she was doing. She was so busy that she didn't have a chance to sign with me (which she was still going to do). I was glad to learn she was still going to join my team, but days, weeks and then months went by and she didn't join. I called her again and she told me all about her new business, how busy she was and what an amazing opportunity it was. I looked at the website and I was hooked. I gave my current business a few more months, but it was going anywhere and then finally in May of 2012, I made the best decision of my life. I joined It Works! Global. The best WAH opportunity out there!
